These terms and conditions shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of South Africa without giving effect to the principles of conflicts of laws. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa in respect of any disputes arising in connection with this website.
Cybercrime Warning
Cybercrime is a persistent and increasing threat, especially where criminals intercepting emails and fraudulently changing legitimate bank account details with the objective of stealing money. We will not email you any changes to our banking details and any such correspondence purported to come from van Rooyen and Associates should be considered as a fraudulent scam. Should you receive any such request you should immediately contact our offices on a known contact number which may be found on our website. Do not rely on any contact details contained in any email communication. You should remain vigilant and be cautious when making payments into our bank account as we will not accept any responsibility or liability if you transfer monies into an incorrect bank account, a new bank account not belonging to van Rooyen and Associates or as a result of a fraudulent scam. For payments to you we will not accept any change to your bank details without additional documentation and confirmation being provided.

Anti-Money Laundering
In terms of anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing legislation, we are required to obtain formal evidence of your identity together with supporting documentation before we can act and may also conduct checks using external electronic databases for this purpose. We are obliged to report suspicions of money laundering activity to our Money Laundering Compliance Officer or to the relevant external authorities, or both. We may have to stop work on a matter and may not be allowed to tell you if we make such a report. We will not be liable to you for the consequences of any such report made in good faith.
